Sencore Forms Partnership With ACE School!
Sencore believes in investing in the future..... our children! What better way to do this than to develop the most comprehensive, fun, and even most funky School Business partnership around. This is exactly what we doing with ACE (All City Elementary) School in Sioux Falls.

All City Elementary is an innovative K-5 school that believes in self-paced learning, student goalsetting, parental involvement in all classes, family time, and was the winner of the South Dakota PTA "Advocate For Children" award. So who else ACE partner with? Sencore, of course, the leader in innovation!

Sencore and ACE develop annual plans together along with placing Sencore volunteers in the classrooms to assist, listen, and learn. The volunteers share technology applications, crosstrain, work together in community projects, self-fund tools like digital cameras and PCs..... and there's more to come. So here's to giving back to the future, their future, THE NEXT GENERATION!

Sencore Volunteers For Junior Achievement!
Every year, several Sencore employees volunteer to get involved the Junior Achievement youth program. This program steers and motivates young adults by involving them in projects from start to finish. By seeing how the project progresses, the youths can realize the importance of every step and every person involved in the project. Sencore is proud to be a corporate sponsor of this enriching program.

Sencore Leads The Way With United Way Contributions!
Each year, Sencore is instrumental in supporting our community through the Sioux Empire United Way Campaign. Not only do the employees of Sencore place our business as one of the top contributors but Sencore also provides leadership by providing employees to assist other businesses and contributors.

Sencore has a high level of employee participation. We strive for 100% participation and are successful with many employees stepping up to giving 1% or 1 hours pay per month with over 40 employees giving $500- $5000 each year. The employees of Sencore are proud to support United Way and realize the importance of the organizations that represent our community's future.

Sencore Hosts Boy Scout's Exploring Post 315
The Boy Scout's Exploring program provides young adults aged 14 and higher with experience and mentoring in career and hobby interest areas. The "Science and Engineering" Explorers Post 315 was created by Sencore's Engineering department in 1993. Each year, engineers and designers volunteer to provide adult leadership for this rewarding program. During meetings, members will tour high-tech companies and schools, hear from guest speakers, and get involved with hands-on design projects in the areas of science and engineering. Sencore is proud to sponsor Post 315 by providing the facilities, volunteers, and capital needed to create this opportunity for the youth in our community.

The founder of Sencore, Herb and his wife Ester Bowden donated $475,000 in May 1999 to establish a downtown youth center. The gift was used to purchase the building which will house a youth outreach program for kids 10 and older in downtown, Sioux Falls.

"Our greatest desire is for this program to continue for generations to come" says Herb Bowden, whose family is well known for the philanthropic efforts in Sioux Falls.
