Sencore’s line of satellite modulators and receiver/decoders now support the increased channel efficiencies enabled by the upcoming DVB-S2+ standard.

Sencore’s Satellite Modulator: SMD 989; and Receiver Decoders: MRD 5800, MRD 4400 and MRD 3187B now feature steeper 15%, 10%, and 5% roll-off options and can significantly increase your bandwidth utilization with negligible impact on signal acquisition and link margin.

As shown below, at 5% roll-off, more of the occupied spectrum can be allocated to actual throughout compared to a 25% roll-off.

In addition to the tighter roll-off support, new features such as built-in BISS scrambling and TR 101 290-based input redundancy and fail-over make Sencore’s modulator products unmatched in feature set and value for video operators. Sencore is excited to deliver support for the latest modulation and demodulation technology. These features help operators improve bandwidth efficiency and reduce costs.
