Sencore to Showcase Customizable Solutions at the PBS Technology Conference
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — March 20, 2012 — Sencore will be demonstrating a variety of cost-effective signal processing, signal transmission, and content monitoring solutions at the PBS Technology Conference, April 11-13 in Las Vegas.
The Sencore TSM 1770 transport stream monitor, SMD 989 DVB-S/S2 modulator, and DTU-236 RF probe will be showcased, along with the MRD 3187B modular receiver decoder, which offers broadcasters the ability to handle both MPEG4/MPEG2 streams.
In addition, Sencore will cosponsor stand 102 with the PBS WARN (Warning, Alert and Response Network) team to showcase the system being provided by Sencore to member stations. The system includes two TDI 3000 units, two MRD 3187B units, and one Amethyst redundancy switch. In conjunction with the PBS team, Sencore will be demonstrating WARN message flow through the entire system, including a DVB-S2 signal that will simulate the PBS NOC uplink. The setup will include the complete equipment stack, which will be shipping to member stations, to explain what users can expect to see when CMAS messages are sent from FEMA through their WARN equipment.
“Keeping our customers up to date with the latest technology is one of our main priorities at Sencore, and PBS is a great example. The PBS stations continue to forge ahead, leading the way in deploying new and customized solutions that meet both their current and future needs,” said Garrett Carter, director of sales at Sencore. “We truly value the relationships that we’ve made over the years with PBS, and it is one of the main reasons that we choose to attend this conference year after year.”
