DTU-234 RF Probe


Overview

The DTU-234 is a light-weight, easy-to-use, RF adapter that allows you to tune any UHF/VHF, or cable channel and record MPEG-2 Transport Streams directly to your laptop for easy field testing or recording.

The DTU-234 has a sensitive front-end, allowing you to receive RF signals from -40 dBmV up to +50 dBmV, making it perfect for recording transport streams in the field or anywhere in the RF distribution system. The DTU-234 can be used to take a snapshot of your RF signal quality, including; RF level, MER, Pre-BER and Post BER for quick troubleshooting and RF analysis.

Features

  • Full RF tuning capabilities from 50 to 860 MHz so you can tune any UHF/VHF or cable channel directly from your laptop PC.
  • Complete portability that requires no additional power supply or batteries, it works entirely from the USB 2.0 connection of your PC. Simply connect the signal to the RF input and the USB 2.0 output to your PC.
  • RFXpert provides:
    • An easy-to-read, spectral display with a choice of single channel, adjacent channel, or full spectral display for testing channel interference or a dropped channel. Plus, the RFXpert provides you with both constellation and eye diagram displays and the ability to turn off and on 8 VSB tap equalization in order see the uncorrected signal being received.
    • True demodulated digital readings for MER, Pre-BER, Post BER, and EVM
    • No calculated readings which can leave you wondering about the accuracy of each measurement.
    • A proof positive method of signal documentation or drop point comparisons with programmable, user defined logging and auto inspection capabilities. Simply set the parameters you want to test the signal against and run the Auto inspect, you get a passed/failed report that can be store for future reference or documentation.
