Sencore ColorPro Color Analyzers Technical Overview
The Sencore ColorPro Color Analyzers are now available with software versions to operate on multiple operating platforms. The CP5000 ColorPro software is available to run on standard desktop and laptop PCs. The CP5001 ColorPro software is available to run on Pocket PC PDAs running Pocket PC 2002 or later. Both the CP5000 and the CP5001 ColorPro systems are designed as complete business tools, to help you accurately calibrate video displays and provide complete calibration documentation to your customer, so you can efficiently complete your business transactions.

Accurately Measure and Calibrate ALL Video Displays
The ColorPro Color Analyzers provide you high accuracy measurement and calibration data on all display types. The tri-stimulus red, green, and blue sensor filters in the ColorPro sensor pods are precisely engineered to exactly duplicate the tri-stimulus response of human eye sensor cones. This means that the CP5000 and CP5001 always “see” light from a display the same way that your eye sees light. When the ColorPro indicates that a video display’s light output is exactly balanced to produce the industry standard D65 white light output required for maximum color accuracy, you can be sure that the color is right (see /newsletter/Oct02/CP5000T.html).

Two separate sensor pods are provided with the CP5000 and CP5001, for maximum accuracy on all display types. |
The ColorPro IV pod is designed to measure the light output from the new flat LCD video display panels. The special light tube sensor inputs provide the limited light measurement angle required to provide high accuracy measurements on LCD flat panel displays. |
The ColorPro III pod is designed to measure all other types of video displays, including direct-view, rear-project, and front-project CRT, DLP, LCD (projection), LCoS, and OLED technologies. |

The CP5000 and CP5001 have the best low light level sensitivity available, with high accuracy even at very low light levels. This makes it easy to measure and calibrate displays at low light levels. Since the human eye is most critical of correct color balance in the darkest parts of a program scene, you want to be sure to calibrate video display white balance at 10-20 IRE, or lower (see /newsletter/July03/colorshifts/colorshifts.htm). The ColorPro Color Analyzers allow you to easily calibrate video displays to accurately track white balance across the entire light range.

Capture Display Performance Data Document the Customer’s Display Performance Before and After Calibration
The ColorPro Color Analyzers also make it easy to capture performance data on any display you calibrate.
Pre-calibration and post-calibration data capture, along with a complete set of printable performance graphs, makes it easy for you to document to your customer exactly how their set was performing before and after your calibration work. |
