Introducing the ACP6500 Auto CalPro Software!

The Auto CalPro is here! Once again, Sencore is proud to announce…we have gone above and beyond the call of duty to create an automated calibration software program that works with all display types! Our new Sencore Auto CalPro software, in conjunction with the CP5000 and VP400, automatically calibrates white balance and user settings for select Pioneer, Runco, and other ISF C3 chassis. The software also semi-automatically calibrates all other display types as well!

Setup:

Connect the Sencore All Display Color Analyzer pod, VideoPro video generator, and the display to the computer via a serial port expander. The intuitive Graphical User Interface makes the software setup quick and easy!

The ACP6500 contains tabs for customer information, display information, a calibration tab, and a report tab. First, enter the Calibrator Identification (store as default info). Then input the customer information, and select the display to be calibrated.

If the display does not appear in the drop down menu, manually enter the information for your “custom” display.  (Only ISF C3 profiled displays are included in the drop down menu). The input and format are selected from a series of drop down lists along the left side. The program does the rest of the work for you!

Brightness and Contrast Preset:

Beginning with the Brightness Preset, the ACP6500 prompts the VideoPro to place the pluge pattern on the display. In the ISF C3 chassis, a slider bar, which is used to make the brightness adjustment, appears on the laptop. For all other displays, use the remote control to make the brightness adjustment. The contrast preset is performed in the same manner as the brightness preset.

Precalibration Capture:

The Precalibration Capture feature is a great timesaver for calibrators in the field. This feature works automatically with ALL displays. Select Precalibration Capture from the drop down menu, and with one button, the VideoPro places a series of 10 IRE windows on the display, and the ACP6500 software captures the measurements read by the CP5000 ColorPro Analyzer. You now do (in a matter of seconds) what once took 20 minutes or more!

Automatic White Balance:

Auto CalPro 6500 performs automatic white balance for all ISF C3 displays and provides guided, semi-automatic white balance for all other displays. When calibrating an ISF C3 profiled display, select the two desired IRE windows (15 IRE and 70 IRE, for example), and click the “auto adjust” button. The software program automatically white balances the display. For custom displays, proceed to the manual white balance screen, and select the two IRE windows to calibrate to. Then, click on either “high IRE” or “low IRE”, and make the white balance adjustments using the remote control for the display.

Brightness, Contrast, Color Saturation, Hue and Sharpness:

Next, calibrate the user controls! Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, and Sharpness adjustments are performed similarly. Select an adjustment from the dropdown menu list (Brightness, for example), and the VideoPro automatically chooses the correct pattern for the selected adjustment and puts it on the display. For ISF C3 profiled displays, a slider bar appears on the screen, and you slide the bar to the left or right. For custom displays, make the adjustment using the remote control for the display.

Postcalibration Capture:

After calibrating all user controls, a postcalibration capture provides the key piece of evidence for your client. Select Postcalibration Capture from the drop down display and the software will communicate to the VideoPro and the ColorPro Analyzer to place and read ten IRE windows on the display. The Auto CalPro software records all ten steps for the final report.

The ACP6500 produces calibration reports which can be stored or printed and provided to your customer for validation. Click the “Report” tab along the top bar of the software program to view and print the calibration report. Report information can be recalled at any time. The information is stored by customer, and by date of calibration.

The software will be featured at CEDIA with live demonstrations by the Sencore team at booth #50.
