Jeff from Wisconsin says they have not sent a single monitor out or ordered a replacement monitor since they purchased their bench package. On the day we did onsite training, we fixed 11 monitor chassis. Jeff said he personally has fixed 8 or 9 since then. Larry who is the experienced electronic tech does most of the bench work but was unavailable for comment. Sencore did onsite training July.
Jill from Mississippi hasn’t had to order any replacement monitors since her casino purchased Sencore monitor bench equipment. She says they have saved a lot of time and money not having to order replacement monitors. Even though technician Mike is busy on special projects (new carpet, machine moves, etc…) he has been able to keep all machines up and available for casino customers. The whole program of repairing monitors onsite has worked out real well.
Jeff in Wisconsin from another casino says they have saved a lot of money since getting a Sencore monitor bench package in July.
Jim Brennan from Connecticut ordered a duplicate of the Sencore equipment used in their existing shop for their second monitor repair shop. Jim says they are very pleased with the equipment. Usage of the equipment has dramatically reduced their cost for monitors. The equipment has enhanced their ability to keep games up with minimal down time.
Jim from Michigan called in and was very pleased with the results from the class and onsite. The tech class was two weeks ago and the onsite training was this past Monday. Jim said they have saved over $5,000 on monitor repairs already. Jim said this figure didn’t include the revenue lost do to game down time. They have gotten two machines up which had dark monitors, which they didn’t have a spare monitor for. He said the guys were extremely happy with the class and they were really anxious to be fixing monitors.
John from Arizona attended Sencore Gaming Monitor Tech School in February. His casino purchased test equipment shortly after the class. John has fixed over 30 dead monitors since the training and getting equipment. He said he has repaired and done preventative maintenance on dozens more that had weak pictures, pictures with retrace lines, pictures that were too wide, etc…
Mark from Nevada is very pleased with the equipment and training from Sencore. Mark enrolled his bench tech in the Sencore Gaming Monitor Tech School in February. It took Mark several months to get approval for test instruments to set up a repair bench. Mark received his bench test instruments in late June. Mark said they have recouped over half of the cost of the test instruments in what it would have cost them in the three months since we did onsite training with the instruments.
Michael in Tunica says he is not nearly as busy as he previously was. Michael says since the addition of Sencore test instruments in his shop, he has greatly increased his productivity. Michael in the past typically had monitors on the shelf-awaiting repair. He says that he has caught up, keeps their monitors running, and now has time to do other repairs as well as work the floor. Michael said he uses the LC 103 Rezolver on every chassis testing all the capacitors not only to find the bad ones, but also to detect and replace those going bad. Michael likes the fact that he can setup and test all monitors on the bench.
Ray from East Chicago got his equipment in August of 2000. Ray says that they haven’t purchased a new monitor or sent one out for repair since they have gotten the equipment. Ray says between the time they got the equipment and the first of the year, he figured he had saved his Casino over $ 45,000 in monitor repairs over what they had been spending. Recently Ray was up for his employee review. His manager evaluated the results of Ray’s efforts and figured that in the last 10 months they had saved over $100,000.00 in monitor repair costs compared to what it would have cost if they were still sending them in as they were before. Ray reminded them that this savings did not include revenue lost to game down time. Ray also mentioned that management commented how the monitors were also looking better on the gaming floor. Ask Ray about his raise. He commented that it wasn’t just a meal at McDonalds.
Tony Wind from Minnesota attended the Sencore Gaming Monitor class in November of 2000. His Casino purchased a bench setup of Sencore equipment in January. We did onsite training with Tony on the day we delivered the equipment to the Casino. Tony said he loves the equipment. He has become very confident that he can fix any monitor. Tony hasn’t had to send a monitor out since he has gotten the equipment. In the last two months alone, he has fixed 6 Williams monitors, which would have cost them $850 each. He has also fixed 11 Ceronics monitors, which cost on the average of $ 300 each. Tony feels the equipment will soon pay for itself if it already hasn’t and then Tony will be saving the Casino big money in terms of cost savings and machine downtime.
