Overview
The Allegro AL2000 performs several MPEG-2 to H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Main/High Profile (Standard Definition) broadcast-quality, real-time, audio and video transcodings; without any frame drop. The transcoding operation can include a high-quality picture resize. The AL2000 also supports several audio compression formats including MPEG-1 Layer II, AC-3/E-AC-3 (DD+), AAC-LC and HE AAC v1/v2.
The device is packaged in a single rack unit (1RU) and handles several independant transcoding channels simultaneously.
