Sencore, Inc., a leader in MPEG-2 service test and delivery, announces new interfaces and features for the TSM1770 multi service MPEG Transport Stream Monitoring platform.

Sioux Falls, SD, April 1, 2005 - The TSM1770 real time multi service MPEG analysis solution is already well known for its rich feature set which includes; MPEG stream parsing, stream analysis based on ETR-101290, thumbnail decoding, Electronic Program Guide view, extensive logging, and triggered recording is now even more powerful!

In addition to the standard MPEG ASI and 310M interfaces, the newly released RF and IP interfaces enable the TSM1770 to be used anywhere across cable, telephony, broadcast, and enterprise networks.  More than simple inputs, the RF interface provides you with the quality parameters needed to ensure signal integrity including; MER, EVM, level, Pre Post FEC BER and more!  While the IP interface allows you to scan the IP input for the available multicasts, measure IP jitter, packet loss and other critical physical level parameters.  With the existing MPEG analysis features of the TSM1770, the addition of the physical level analysis makes your TSM1770 a powerful cross layer system monitor.

Also now available for the TSM1770 is the exclusive MPEG Service Profiler and scheduled monitoring features.  With the MPEG Service Profiler you can easily create profiles for each service that you offer through the intuitive web based interface. Within each service profile you can define what you expect to be included in that service (video\audio\data PID’s, tables, etc.), their associated data and repetition rates, in addition to tolerances for the ETR-101290 measurements. Used in conjunction with the scheduled monitoring feature you can easily switch through multiple services over an RF spectrum or different IP multicasts and check conformance to your service requirements. This powerful combination of features allows you to easily audit MPEG services based on your priorities.
