Sencore introduces the CEC-TME test suite option for its 882CA generator. The CEC-TME Test Suite includes all utilities, applications, and test fixtures needed to successfully integrate a CEC device into your HDMI products or fully test existing HDMI products. The test suite enables you to design, analyze, debug and pre-compliance test HDMI consumer electronic control (CEC) products.

The Test Suite includes all 882CA Color Graphics 250MHZ Generator and HDMI analyzer features. Analyzing features include the ability to analyze incoming video timing, emulate HDMI source and sink devices, convert HDMI video to analog for viewing on a display monitor, EEDID testing/editing, and the ability to route incoming HDMI audio to an S/PDIF output for accurate audio analyzing. The analyzer also features a frame-by-frame pixel analyzer to detect video pixel errors. A Pseudo-noise test pattern generator provides analysis when testing cables, repeaters, or distribution systems. The analyzer also provides HDCP test keys for functionally testing the content protection protocol.

The Test Suite provides thorough analyzing of CEC within HDMI. The Interactive Troubleshooting Environment (ITE) provides a set of debug utilities to fully analyze CEC and simulate errors and boundary conditions. The Auxiliary Channel Analyzer (ACA) provides graphical application logs and displays CEC bus transactions in real time right down to the bits, block and frame to quickly locate and document CEC protocol errors. The Test Management Environment (TME) application software performs all CEC-related tests in the HDMI Compliance Test Specifications. Test Point Adapters (TPAs) enable test instrument connection to the unit under test as set forth in the CEC compliance tests.
