Sencore Wins 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Award

Sencore, the gateway to video delivery, has announced that its ATSC 3.0 to TS Multi-channel Transcoder (TSX 3800) is a Best New Hardware Infrastructure Technology winner in the 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards. This official awards program recognizes the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by corporate partners of NAB Show.

The TXS 3800 is a first-of-its-kind product that fills a void as more broadcasters switch to ATSC 3.0 RF transmission. Retransmission of these ATSC signals is a key revenue driver for local stations, but the video/audio CODECs and media wrappers used in ATSC 3.0 are not directly compatible with existing MVPD systems like they were with ATSC 1.0. This product makes it easy to convert the media in the ATSC 3.0 transmission into formats that can be used in MVPD distribution and thus making ATSC 3.0 retransmission seamless at ATSC 1.0 retransmission.

NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 16 categories and announced in a live awards ceremony on NAB Amplify on November 3. To be eligible for an award, nominated products had to come from companies scheduled to exhibit in either the 2020 or 2021 NAB Show and are delivered within the 2021 calendar year.
