SIOUX FALLS, SD – JPEG XS lite compression technologies are quickly gaining popularity with content creators and remote production systems to drastically reduce bandwidth usage while maintaining high quality and low latency. As this new codec takes hold, customers need analyzers and monitoring equipment to troubleshoot problems and ensure stream quality 24/7. Sencore has responded by adding JPEG XS support to the powerful VB330-V software probe and VB440 SDI over IP analyzer. As part of the Sencore VideoBRIDGE system, the VB330-V and VB440 provide end-to-end monitoring and analysis for broadcast and production systems to allow customers to quickly find and solve problems.
The VB330-V software probe now includes support for JPEG XS in transport stream (TR-07) on top of all the existing codecs supported. This probe provides quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) monitoring for up to 2000 streams at up to 50Gbps in either a software-only or appliance form factor. In addition to the 24/7 monitoring capabilities and deep stream analysis, the VB330-V can archive content for up to 2 years to provide as-run proof for any feed.
The VB440 SDI over IP analyzer now includes support for JPEG XS in SMPTE 2110 (TR-08). This addition rounds out the product’s existing uncompressed video/audio analysis support for ST2110 and ST2022-6. The VB440 can monitor dozens of streams simultaneously and provides an HTML-5 user interface that allows full motion video decode, audio decode, waveform monitor and audio loudness analysis for multiple local and remote users simultaneously. In addition, the ancillary data features of the VB440 offer a detailed look at SCTE 104, captions, subtitles and any other ANC type.
