SIOUX FALLS, SD – Oct. 1 2025— IndyCar has overhauled its race-day video distribution infrastructure by implementing Sencore’s OmniHub 16 platform, replacing legacy IP encoding systems with a more scalable and reliable solution for live event operations.

The upgrade comes in response to growing demands for higher-quality video, increased format flexibility, and improved reliability during live races. To meet these needs, IndyCar deployed three OmniHub 16 systems, each configured with SDI input and QAM output modules. This configuration enables the encoding of up to 64 HD-SDI 1080p/59Hz feeds into efficient H.264 streams. These streams are delivered across both IP and QAM networks to support pit crews, engineers, and technical staff in real time.

The new system ensures high-quality footage with telemetry and trajectory overlays is distributed seamlessly across every race venue. After modernizing its infrastructure, IndyCar has strengthened in-race communication, enhanced situational awareness, and improved technical workflows for its entire operations team.
