Sencore Showcases Next-Generation Video Delivery Solutions at IBC2025

September 12–16, Booth 1.D64 – Sencore, a leader in professional broadcast and video delivery solutions, will showcase its latest advancements in contribution, distribution, OTT workflows, and IP monitoring at IBC2025 in Amsterdam. Building on decades of experience, Sencore continues to push the boundaries of efficiency, scalability, and interoperability across both broadcast and ProAV.

Key Highlights at IBC2025

  • MRD 8000 Launch – Sencore introduces the MRD 8000 Accelerated Multichannel Receiver Decoder, a GPU accelerated platform supporting IP (SRT, Zixi, HLS, RTMP), ASI, and RF inputs for contribution-grade UHD/HD decoding, multichannel distribution, and dense monitoring decoding.
  • Internet Distribution – Demonstrations will show how SCP 2100, Impulse 300D/400D, and Centra Gateway enable secure, low-latency content delivery over unmanaged networks using protocols like RIST, SRT, and Zixi.
  • Commercial Headend & OTT Channel Insertion – OmniHub 6/16 and OmniHub Play highlight scalable IPTV and OTT solutions that simplify multi-site video distribution for hospitality, enterprise, and MVPD customers.
  • Contribution Encoding & Satellite Distribution – From low-latency AFN encoders and SMD 989 satellite modulation to MRD 7000/8000 contribution decoding and VideoBRIDGE monitoring systems, Sencore continues to support both legacy and next-generation ST 2110/IP contribution and remote production workflows with robust and industry-leading product offerings.
  • PlexusAV at IBC – PlexusAV will showcase IPMX-ready AV-over-IP products, including P-AVN-4 and P-AVN-2 transceivers, the Stream Conversion Gateway, and Visual Array for system-wide visualization and control.

MRD 8000 Accelerated Multichannel Receiver/Decoder

Sencore will debut the MRD 8000 Accelerated Multichannel Receiver/Decoder, the latest generation in its receiver decoder family.

The MRD 8000 is an any-input platform that supports IP (SRT, Zixi, HLS, RTMP), ASI, and RF interfaces, making it highly flexible for both contribution and distribution applications. It delivers contribution-grade UHD/HD decoding with 4:2:2, 10-bit, and HDR support, scales to single or multichannel primary distribution, and provides continuous 24/7 decoding of video services up to UHD resolution.

With GPU acceleration in a compact 1RU chassis, the MRD 8000 offers cost-effective performance and capabilities that position it as the upgrade path from Sencore’s tried and true IRD platforms like the MRD 4400/5800.

“Sencore has been known for our receiver/decoders for many years, and it’s exciting to continue and expand that legacy with the MRD 8000,” said Seth VerMulm, Director of Product Management at Sencore. “We see this as a crucial upgrade as the industry shifts quickly. It’s a great addition to our product lineup that not only addresses today’s challenges but also positions us to experiment with emerging technologies like AI in the future.”

Internet Distribution

As content delivery increasingly shifts to unmanaged networks, Sencore will showcase solutions that make Internet-based contribution and distribution both reliable and cost-effective. SCP 2100 and Impulse 300D deliver secure reception and decoding of streams using protocols like RIST, SRT, and Zixi. Impulse 400D provides commercial grade decoding for UHD/HD transport over Internet links, while Centra Gateway ensures seamless reception, conversion, and routing across IP environments.

Commercial Headend & OTT Channel Insertion

To meet the growing needs of hospitality and enterprise customers, Sencore’s commercial headend platforms simplify video delivery at scale. The OmniHub 6/16 supports dense, modular transcoding, encryption, and modulation, while Centra Manage centralizes orchestration and monitoring across deployments. OmniHub Play enables OTT channel insertion and playback for customized hospitality content lineups. Together, these solutions reduce operational complexity while supporting hybrid RF/IP and OTT workflows.

Contribution Encoding & Satellite Distribution

Sencore continues to support both traditional SDI infrastructures and next-generation ST2110/IP standards with a robust contribution and monitoring portfolio. Highlights include AFN-1000/250 encoders for low-latency, high-quality 4:2:2 10-bit UHD contribution encoding, the SMD 989 DVB-S/S2/S2X modulator, and professional IRDs like the MRD 7000 (ST 2110 output) and new MRD 8000. The VB440 and VB330 provide real-time IP video analysis for uncompressed and compressed UHD/HDR workflows, while the VB120/VB278/VB258, VB Nomad, CMA 1820, and DTU-238 deliver flexible lab, field, and rack-based monitoring capabilities.

PlexusAV – Simplifying AV-over-IP with IPMX

Alongside Sencore, PlexusAV will highlight its ProAV portfolio built on the IPMX open standard for interoperable AV-over-IP deployments. At IBC2025, PlexusAV will demonstrate:

  • P-AVN-4 and P-AVN-2 Transceivers – Compact devices offering both encode and decode functionality in IPMX workflows.
  • Stream Conversion Gateway (SCG) – A versatile bridge for converting streams between IPMX and other AV-over-IP protocols.
  • Visual Array (VA) – A browser-based interface for visualizing, monitoring, and managing AV-over-IP networks with intuitive control.
