The VBC (VideoBRIDGE Controller) is a centralized, web-based management server for broadcast and media delivery networks. It aggregates data from multiple VideoBRIDGE monitoring probes, including the VB120, VB220, VB330, and VB440, into a single interface. Operations teams get real-time visibility into service quality, network health, and stream performance across the entire network.
The VBC supports up to 500 probes per instance and scales further through hierarchical system configurations. It deploys on-premise or in the cloud on a Linux (Ubuntu-based) server. Users connect through any standard web browser with no client installation required.
Alarm management is built for large-scale operations. The VBC applies intelligent filtering and centralized aggregation to reduce noise and surface only the faults that require attention. MicroTimeline™ technology delivers 96-hour event visualization. Historical trend data extends up to two years, supporting worst-performer identification and long-term SLA compliance reporting.
The Remote Data Wall (RDW) delivers configurable dashboards for NOCs and distributed teams across multiple screens. Stream View and Thumbnail View give operators a visual overview of all monitored services, with per-stream health status and real-time alarm indicators. For teams that need live video in their monitoring workflow, VBC Live adds a customizable video mosaic with real-time alerts and is available as a separate option.
Role-based user access controls what each operator sees and manages. SNMP and XML interfaces connect the VBC to third-party NMS platforms. API-driven data export supports automation and integration workflows.
The VBC gives engineering and operations teams a shared platform for both high-level oversight and detailed signal inspection, supporting NOC floor monitoring through to executive-level reporting.
